Welcome to rock4reason, the heart and soul of Rodney's music scene!
Our festival is a 1-day celebration of local talent, unity and a commitment to raising awareness for mental health.
We bring together local musicians from diverse backgrounds, from aspiring bands to seasoned performers, providing them with a stage and audience to share their passion and creativity.
rock4reason is not just a music festival; it's a movement that embodies the spirit of community and the power of music to make a positive change.
Join us on our inaugural - and hopefully annual - journey of inspiration and talent, with the common goal of supporting mental health.

The Stables
Matakana
The Stables is a premium event venue located in the charming countryside of Matakana.
The Stables is a fully licensed venue with a well stocked bar serving everything from tap and craft beers, to creative cocktails, local wines and non-alcoholic options.
The Stables will have food available for purchase at the event from 1pm - close, and will have eftpos, credit card and cash facilities available. Sorry but no food or drink can be taken into The Stables.
There is plenty of parking at the venue and within the Matakana Country Park, however we always advise carpooling or pre-arranged taxis, as the area can get very busy in summer!
The Stables is proud to support this charity event and hosting this amazing day for an amazing cause.
